This summer I visited the workshops of the internationally renowned automaton maker Francois Junod. Francois combines sculptural/making techniques with complex swiss engineering to produce his unique mechanised creations. It was an inspirational experience and we had a great time discussing the connections between his world and mine and the similarities in the sculpting and mold making processes we both use in our art.
